So here is another map that I would like to see gone from the map rotation. This map is extremely boring and extremely big. There are only around 9 minigames, all of which are miles apart and not even that fun or original to begin with. The map also just looks terrible and boring. Here's a photo for reference:

I genuinely think to remove a map because "it's extremely big and extremely boring" and "terrible / boring" is nonsense and completely opinion based. It does not have 9 mini-games (maybe you should do some map analysis before making the suggestion) but I will agree mini-games aren't original simply being because it is an old map which was created when jailbreak was becoming big so everyone had the same idea, compared to other maps in the cycle, it has no bugs and has a decent amount of rebel spots. I will admit to it being extremely big but otherwise I don't find a valid reason for this maps removal.

I find it to be just a basic filler map with nothing good or special. I would rather have a decent amount of good maps in the rotation, rather then just a bunch of random maps which all have the same basic formula. Although I do understand your point.

If you remove all the "random" maps then you won't have an equal balance which would just lead to the same "good" maps being played every time.

Remember also how the map played too recently must be toned down if we're removing maps ^^

We currently have 38 maps in the rotation, I do not want to remove all of these types of maps, just some which I find to be the worst of them. I consider night dynf to be one of these. I don't see any problem in removing a couple of maps.

This is one of the largest reasons I take into consideration for all suggestions. If it's bugged, causes server instability, crashes, etc then yes it should be removed.

IMO the map is too big and open. Sometimes it's not a bad thing, but this map is quite literally a flat piece of ground with no terrain variation, which not only makes the map sniper heaven, but also makes moving between minigames a complete chore, as well as sneaking away to rebel near impossible especially if you can't bhop.
There's no theme or gimmick to help make it special. It's literally just a massive flat piece of ground.
It's aged horribly and I think it's time to remove it.

Maps like hopjb and bootcamp are also flat and have no terrain variation. So should they also be removed? Sure hopjb has burger king as a gimmick and bootcamp has the nuke, but they are so insignificant (like burger king and burger king massacare) or the players can't do it in 1 round alone (like bootcamps nuke).

Being into mapmaking as of the past 3 months, I can pretty much tell you what @fisch is saying here is factually correct. To add to his comments, I need to mention that defining a "Flat" or "big" or "open" map is hard. Are maps such as jb_opst_hq_v4 considered too big and open? Is this a bad thing? Is jail_snowballz_v22c too open for not having walls everywhere? Are maps such as jb_8bit_v6, ba_hopjb_v8 and jb_bootcamp_v4 flat?

When making a map, you have many things to worry about. Being the designer of the map I'm co-creating, I personally prefer balance > all. Once balance has been "achieved", you need to look at your creation from a different perspective. Your map needs to be fun. Fun isn't easy to define either, since everyone's idea of fun is hard to captivate. Decorating your map comes last. I'd define decorating as adding personalization and gimmicks (as mentioned before). Again, whether these appeal or not is up to the players.

Finally, the map is serviceable IMO. I've definitely had worse games on more popular maps such as ba_hopjb_v8, quite simply because the map itself is unoptimized. It might be a tad bit lacking compared to the rest, but still definitely not ready to leave the map pool for if it did, other maps should be removed for similar reasons.

The poll has concluded, and it seems people want this map to stay. Thanks for voting and participating.
