Accepted Server Expansion (Jailbreak)

Hi guys,

In the past few months, there has been a significant increase of player count in our Jailbreak server. This is a really good news and i'm glad that the server is doing extremely well. The server have players from different part of the world playing in our jailbreak server. The server tend to get full really easily and it is one of our popular servers.

Unfortunately, there is a problem to this. Majority of the players are from the US and the jailbreak server is hosted in EU. This causes lag to the players that are not in EU and slightly disrupts the game of play. The reason why US players are not playing in other US related servers is because our server is much favored and appreciated . Thus they do not mind the lag that they face. Regardless, this is a suggestion made by me to expand our jailbreak server.

As you can see, not all the flux servers are doing well. Our deathrun server is rarely popular and has little to no players. I suggest that we convert our deathrun server into another jailbreak server. This server will be the same as the other one. But, the newer server has lesser ping for players in the US. Therefore the server names will change to be the following:

Flux.TF | Jailbreak EU
Flux.TF | Jailbreak US


This will improve the player database and our discord server. The Forums will be more active and the servers would require more staff members.

I understand if the owner(s) would think that the server would not be popular and will be dead, that is why i feel that the server should have a beta test of 1 month. During this 1 month, the server will be observed and notified if there are players that are active on the US server. If it is not, and in fact dead. I suggest we close it.

I added a poll to vote regarding this matter, Do let other players know about this thread so that they can have a right to choose.

Honestly, I would like this to be a thing since increased ping ruins the experience for both EU and US players. The effects of bad ping in TF2 range from increasing the lagging person's melee range to making a class almost unplayable (Spy) as well as generally messing with everyone's aim and timing.

Let's see what happens with this.

I've spoken to @Benedevil earlier today. If we receive enough input from the community via forums and Discord, then neither of us would be opposed to this. If it's only a handful of users who are interested it's not worth it.

I came to flux because it was a server that was populated and I got good ping on it, if most of the players are from the US wouldn't that mean the EU server would die out? I personally don't mind the idea but just take what I said into consideration.

I honestly i have no clue what the difference between donating something and giving away something but i realise donor shouldnt be in giveaway as people can abuse
