Why would you like to become a moderator?:
I spend almost all of my time in TF2 on flux servers. I have a lot of respect for the players here, newbies and regulars alike; It bothers me seeing newer players being deterred because of the occasional cheater, toxic player etc. Since my last application was declined, I've taken the time to further develop my understanding of the servers rules and how the current moderators enforce them. I decided to apply to help lower the amount of rulebreakers as much as possible, as I'm aware that the staff wont always be active; I believe I could fill in those "gaps" and help make this server the best place it can be for everyone.

When are you usually available to play?:
For the most part I will be active every day, but obviously I wont spend ALL of my time on TF2. I will however use whatever time I have outside to handle reports, appeals etc. During weekdays (GMT) I will be available from 4:30PM - 8/9PM, Weekends and holidays should be from 9/10AM - 8/9PM. I would like to keep this more brief so I'm down to discuss more privately.

Please give us your ideal way of punishing players, specific to the server you want to moderate:

A good amount of the punishments have similar ladders, so many have been grouped together as such; Feel free to comment for some clarification and I’ll happily edit the post. If it's obvious that someone is avoiding punishment or refusing to cooperate, I will move ahead one step in the ladder. It took a few tries but I'm happy with the general ladder I've created.


Jailbreak (Their are a lot of things to cover, so I will stick with what I consider "big" and will update if necessary. Most JB ladders after the first include a slay at every step.)

• Free Killing:
  1st | A warning and a slay. Accident or not, I'll explain that they should read the rules.
  2nd | 1 hour Tban.
  3rd | 2 hour Tban.
  4th | 4 hour Tban.
  5th | 8 hour Tban.
  6th | 1 day Tban.
  7th | 1 week Tban.

• Mass Freekill: (I’ve noticed that it often takes a second time for an MFKer to get perm Tbanned, so I made this ladder that way.)

Edit: Fixed the missing step in the discord ladder where the 9th step was missing. Loosened up the impersonation ladder to be consistent with others while still remaining somewhat harsher, as believe it should.

Final edit: Removed the "hour" steps from the impersonation ladder. No more changes will be made; the harshness is justifiable.

Jumping from 1 day to 1 month is extremely harsh.
EDIT: Sorry what I meant to say was, if it is a significant offence why even start with an hour? It just creates these jarring inconsistencies, while yes harsh punishments are needed, they shouldnt happen after what s basically a slap on the wrist.

This is super prevalent in your application and again, jumping from one day to seven is harsh. Id suggest adding one or two extra punishments before a week as a solution.

And once again, kind of harsh jumping from 2 weeks to a perma. At least go to a month before a perma.

These poor punishments are exacerbated by the fact that this is your second application.
I suggest making the earlier segments of your ladder much more strict so you don't see vast jumps to a perma ban.

Some of these are all less than a month old.

While I would normally give the benefit of the doubt, you were already declined once so I would have expected a more competent punishment ladder as well as improved behaviour, especially considering your last application was declined for the exact same issues. Not only were you given specific feedback, you failed to satisfy any basic improvements from your last application.



You clearly have not changed and I unfortunately do not think you are ready to be a moderator.

The 1 day to a week feedback is noted, thanks. Personally I felt that I had made my ladder as fair/ least harsh as possible; So I'll consider altering it tomorrow. Id like to add that there is at least 4 steps before the jump depending on how you look at it: anyone breaking the rules that often shouldn't be surprised with the punishment.

The majority of those logs are jokes, banter. I'm friendly with multiple people on this server, I don't believe swearing is an issue; I can always tone it down if required. The only ones I can think of that wouldn't be friendly are the ones directed towards mimmo and donator abuse. I'll accept that.

I'm not sure what's wrong with the steam ID but do you mind stating which form i should provide it in? Steam ID3 is the format commonly used for reports so I would've thought it was fine for my application.

Personally, I think there's nothing wrong with my general ladders. There are accepted ladders that are just as "harsh" if not harsher with their steps. I believe mine is fair; I'll be keeping it the way it is.
