On EU servers, the warden menu differs. One of them has ff binded to 3 and the other has ff binded to 5. This has created and risen the rate of accidently friendly fire's exponentionly, with many regular and experienced players complaining on the server. To get their word out, as well as mine (so they don't have to keep complaining in-game), I'm doing this.

New menu (77.75.122.206) Old menu (104.238.186.205)

First of all, there is literally no reason for it to change. The rates of accidently ff was extremely low, one of the things I had to never punished someone for, and yet since the new change on the other server, (probably a glitch) the rates have increased greatly of accidently ff and with players saying "why tf has the menu changed".

Many experienced and well known players, that I have ever known, have complained to me about this. It makes no sense, and it is completely unnecessary for the change.

Once you get to know the menu, as in the old days, we shouldn't have to look at the menu. But since it's differs from server to server, we have to make ourselfs vulnerable to attacks while maniacly trying read the labels to place a simple marker. Even just a flash of ff can cause major disruption.

I hope you agree with my terms. Don't downvote because you don't - post a reply.

but its kinda usefull cause some wardens meant to pull out their melee weapons but accidentally turn on friendly fire (happend to me). Also, f2p wardens who dont know how to play and ment to pull out their melee but they turn out to enable ff

There are no such thing as f2p wardens. Wardens should always be experienced at the gamemode to understand rules, and the time it takes for someone to understand jailbreak is longer than the time someone should pay $1 to become premium.

Also, you can close the menu then open it up, so pulling your melee out whilst in !wmenu is a pretty dumb accident. Irrelevant to what Engie is saying, but even though he's exaggerated it a bit, I agree

I think this is a bit of an exaggeration, but I see what you mean. People accidentally enable ff when they mean to place a marker, but I personally see accidental friendly fire all the time when someone is trying to switch weapons, so I don't think it is that bad of an idea to move that option to 4, 5, etc. Although people don't generally like changes to what they are use to, I don't see this a much of a problem; it takes less than a second to look at which command is where, so maybe it'll help people pay attention to things. :blobguns:

Maybe it should be moved to 6 no one really uses it marker would still be 3 and remove marker(6) would be 5

I can agree this is an exaggeration, but regarding accidentally enabling it, it usually takes me and others less than 2 seconds to realize what they've just done, and quickly fix it. I don't think many reds have the ability to notice ff is enabled is in the chat, then do enough damage with that to make a change of the entire menu (disregarding the fact many reds understand it was an illegal ff, and only a few would go out and start hitting.)

I prefer the new menu where you can't mistake pulling out melee for friendly fire, much more damage controlling.

Yes, but that would still be switching the menu around, which is what Engie's initial complaint was.

This is a bit contradicting lol.

I honestly don't see the menu thing as a big deal. In my opinion, the bottom line is pay attention to what you are doing and there won't be a problem, but people will always choose convenience over taking the time to make sure they are not making a mistake.

Really embarrassing, was hoping no one would pick up on this whilst posting lmfao. Yeah it was more of a throwaway statement, a "just be be safe," a precaution. It wasn't my main point, it's still a bit dumb but for the people finding it a problem may find peace of mind for it to be a marker instead of friendly fire.

I can sort of see why people have a problem with the Warden Menu getting in the way of switching weapons, but the scroll wheel is a thing lmao.

People can just adapt to it to be honest, it wouldn't take more than 3 days of getting used to.
