So there's this guy you want to report to us because he's been hacking, insulting, or breaking some sort of rules. Before you throw a thread up there, follow the template to make it somewhat helpful.

Yes, this can also correspond to admins too. Just alter the fields below with some common sense if an admin has been abusing their powers, or not dealing fairly. Alternatively, if you wish to keep such matter private, you can come straight to me either on the forums or on Steam.

    - Name of the rulebreaker(s)
    - Steam IDs of the above
    - Rules they broke, and an explanation or some background info
    - Evidence

A screenshot is not usually a desired form of evidence, since it barely proves anything. We have chat logs stored, so we can retrieve those, but for the majority of reports, a demo is needed.

    >Recording a Demo

    - Type 'record demoname' into your console - You should see "Recording to demoname.dem"

    - Type 'status' in console once recording for a list of Steam IDs/users that were present
    - Once enough evidence is recorded, type 'stop' in console and you should see the finished message say -
"Completed demo, recording time 3.2, game frames 203."

Your demo file should save to your TF2 install location, mine is - C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Team Fortress 2\tf

The file is small in size, and can be uploaded to the forums, or any file host like Dropbox or Mediafire.
