Jailbreak Rules (Updated as of 02/08/2017) What is Jailbreak? Jailbreak is a custom Team Fortress 2 gamemode where the Red team are prisoners who spawn without any weapons and the Blue team are guards that have weapons and crits to keep the prisoners under control. The prisoners are to follow the warden's orders and play minigames or rebel if you're feeling devious Jailbreak Terms Spoiler: Show Terms KOS = Kill on Sight. If a red is KOS then he is rebelling and needs to be killed AFK Freeze: Don't move, don't look around. Looping taunts are allowed unless the warden says otherwise. Stock taunts do not count as AFK frozen WASD Freeze: Don't move, but you can look around and taunt. Freelook: Means looking around. If the warden bans it, don't use your mouse, otherwise go crazy. Freekill: When someone who is following orders is killed for no reason, it is a freekill. Freekilling can result in a temporary teamban or even a server ban in extreme cases. Freehit: When someone who is following orders is hit for no reason, it is a freehit. Freehitting can result in a temporary teamban. Jailbreak Days Spoiler: Show Days Days are special commands in jailbreak that are given by a warden. Some examples of days are: Out of cell rebel day/Inside cell rebel day - Do not get out/stay in the cells until the day is over. Lava day - Stay off the cell floors by getting on a bed, window, etc until the day is over. Obby day, sweeper day, etc. - Do this minigame, don't stop until the day is over. There are other many other possible days but these are the most common. The gist of a day is that you follow the command given until the warden says "[day name] is now over" or something along those lines. Wardens do not have to explain days but it is preferred if you explain to the prisoners who don't understand. Handy Commands Spoiler: Show Commands !fire - Used to fire the current warden. If enough people type the command, the warden will be removed from power. !tp - Used to go into Thirdperson Mode. !fp - Used to go back into Firstperson Mode. !w - Used to force yourself as warden on the blue team. Please don't use the command at the beginning of rounds and give other people a turn to be warden. !uw -Used to unwarden. Do not unwarden unless instructed by an admin., !givelr - Used to give a last request while you are warden. !wmenu - Used to show the warden's command menu while you are warden. Will not work in any other case !wff - Turns on friendly fire if you are warden. Abusing this command can lead to a temporary teamban or permanent in extreme cases. !wcc - Turns on collisions, meaning that teammates can push each other. The Blues Spoiler: Show Blue Rules The warden is a special player chosen randomly at the beginning of the round. The warden's job is to command the prisoners to do things such as go to places or play minigames. At the end of the round, the last surviving prisoner is supposed to be given a last request using the !givelr command. Wardens cannot favour prisoners. You must treat everyone fairly. The only exception is pardoning rebellers, which can be done individually depending on what the warden thinks is fair. You must have a working microphone to be on the blue team. You must also be prepared to be warden. If you use !uw for no reason, you will be temporarily team banned. If at any point a prisoner does not follow your orders, they become a rebeller. Rebellers are to be killed by the guards or warden as soon as possible. These players are considered a threat to a round and should be killed. Rebellers can be only pardoned by the warden. The only prisoner who does not have to follow the rules above are freedays. Freedays are prisoners who chose a freeday for their last request. These players are surrounded by blue sparkles to tell them apart from other prisoners. They are invincible and are allowed to do anything other than get ammo and hit guards. If a freeday hits a guard or collects ammo, they will lose their freeday and become a rebeller. Guards can bait, but prisoners will be able to hit you without becoming a rebeller unless the warden says otherwise. Wardens are the only ones who cannot be hit if they bait. Baiting counts as: Standing in a prisoner's melee range. Throwing jarate/mad milk at a player Airblasting/Shortstop pushing Holiday punch stunning Blocking Entering the red side of a minigame with prisoners inside without being ordered to do so If the warden dies at any point in the round, another guard can type !w and take their place. In this case, prisoners have to follow this new warden's commands and can be marked as rebellers if they don't. If no one takes warden and the warden locks, it becomes a freeday for all. If there is only one guard left alive and warden has locked, the last guard can try to kill all prisoners. You can only do cell wars if there are 4 or less guards. Guards and wardens cannot camp in: Armory The spawn room on Chretien Medic Being in any of these locations for more than 30 seconds counts as camping. Wardens cannot give any impossible commands (ex: Out of cell and Inside cell rebel day) The Reds Spoiler: Show Red Rules Players on the red team are prisoners in TF2 Jailbreak. There are two main playstyles you can play by, a regular prisoner who follows orders for a chance to get the last request, or a rebeller who tries to kill the guards and warden. A few ground rules: A prisoner is allowed to detour and delay unless the warden states otherwise. All prisoners have the right to clear orders. If a prisoner asks for a repeat, the warden should repeat his order. All prisoners are equal, and cannot be favored. If a prisoner rebels, the warden is the only one who can spare them and pardon them. Prisoners CANNOT be renamed unless it is the LR. Prisoners cannot armory camp, this means staying inside of armory for more than 30 seconds. Same goes for the Chretien spawn room. Breaking vents or walls that lead DIRECTLY to armory counts as rebelling. Stuff like windows don't count as rebelling unless the warden says otherwise. A special rule for mariocastle, if you break the Princess Peach painting/the wall in the Peach cell, it automatically counts as rebelling. If you leave the cell before cell doors are opened (escape from a vent, broken wall, etc) you are marked as a rebeller. Healing a rebeller, the healer a rebeller. If a prisoner follows all orders and is the last living player, he get's a last request. If the prisoner is denied his last request, the warden can be reported. Blocking guards counts as rebelling. This can mean armory, medic, or a doorway in general. You can however door glitch any door you wish as long as you are not preventing blues from entering the area until the warden or a guard tells you not to. Last Requests/LR Spoiler: Show Last Request Rules At the end of the round, one prisoner is awarded an LR. This can be several things depending on the prisoners choice. A Freeday for themselves A Freeday for three people on red A Freeday for all players Rapid Rockets Day (Free for All with Valve Rocket Launchers) Horseless Headless Horsemann Day (Free for All and everyone turns into the Horseless Headless Horsemann) Hunger Games (Free for All for Red team) Hide and Seek (Blue team seeks for red and last red gets LR) Guards Melee only round (duh.) Custom LRs which could be anything really. Custom LRs cannot be the following: Anything that changes what the warden has to say Anything such as "Give me lr again" Anything that humiliates specific players Custom LRs can be: Hide and Seek Hunger Games Admin Only LRs (Drug all players, low gravity hide and seek, etc.) Freeday Related Any minigame Up to your imagination!
